Interesting that you liked the ending. Most don't because they are used to the "Hollywood" ending. I always liked the ambiguous endings of films in the 70's. They just said, screw it, make up your own mind about what happens next. Getting things spoon-fed always seemed boring to me. One early reviewer sort of got it right about how we made the movie look off-kilter with some story-points so obvious, that, well, you could be watching a lousy 70's horror flick but also tossing in some weird stuff to satiate the new crowd. Must say it was great! Took me back to the movies I liked when I was young, killers on the loose, nosy group of teens, a small bit of backstory but no longwinded angst ridden feel sorry for them, they're victims kind of crap.
