Tammin Sursok (Stacey)

Tammin Sursok was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her family relocated to Sydney, Australia when she was five years old. From an early age, she developed an interest in acting and soon began performing on stage and television. She studied speech and drama at Trinity College of London and graduated in 1999 with high distinction. She has since gone on to become an Emmy-nominated, Australian Logie Award-winning actress and recording star. Best known for the roles of Dani Sutherland on “Home and Away” and Colleen Carlton on “The Young and the Restless,” she also launched a singing career with her first album, “Whatever Will Be” (Sony BMG), which made its debut at the top of the Australian charts. In 2006, Tammin was voted Sexiest Woman in the World by the readers of Australia’s FHM and has graced the covers of over 150 magazines world-wide. She continues to generate international press and stature with every step of her career and gained further interest in a supporting role in the movie “Crossing Over,” starring Sean Penn and Harrison Ford, as well as guest spots on the hit television shows “Rules of Engagement” and “In Plain Sight.” Other than “Albino Farm”, her next big role was in playing the lead of Courtney in the highly-rated Nickelodeon musical “Spectacular!” which released in February, 2009 with the accompanying soundtrack (Sony BMG) debuting simultaneously. An animal lover, Sursok lives in Los Angeles with her two dogs. She enjoys playing guitar and piano in her spare time.

Jason Barnett (Creature Design)

Jason grew up watching monster movies, so it didn’t take the youngster long to discover the magic of special effects make-up. After graduating High school, Barnett ventured to Hollywood to pursue his love for creating monsters and fantasy creatures. He soon found work on such low budget films as “Howling VI: Freaks” and “HBO’s Tales from the Crypt”. In 1998, Barnett was nominated for an Emmy for his work on the science fiction series “Babylon 5″ and later reached higher status with work at Rick Baker’s company on the Academy Award winning make-up for “The Grinch.” “Rick Baker’s company is the top make-up effects house and it was a great experience working along side so many talented artists,” says Barnett. His company, Industrial Monsters & Props/IMP FX, created a full family of freaks for “Albino Farm” including the terrifying Pig-Bitch.

Dan O’Brien (Editor)

Dan O’Brien was raised in Idaho, graduated from USC with a business degree and is the lead editor at Blissium and commercial production house Motiv Films. He has edited hundreds of national television commercials, many short films and five feature films. He assisted and then co-edited several films with noted director and Sundance regular, Randall Miller, including “Marilyn Hotchkiss Ballroom Dancing & Charm School,” “Nobel Son” and “Bottle Shock.” All three films were released theatrically with “Bottle Shock” a recent independent hit over the summer of 2009. O’Brien then edited “Albino Farm,” “How to Save a Life” and is currently gearing up to work on several other feature projects. He currently resides in Culver City, California with his wife and two children.

Rene Jung (Director of Photography)

Rene was born on June 8th 1965 in Rostock, Germany. Finished High School (Extended Secondary School) in 1984 and was an Assistant Cameraman from 1984 -1988. He furthered his career by attending film school at Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen “Konrad Wolf” Potsdam/Babelsberg, Germany, Cinematography Department, from 1988-1994. Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography in 1994 and became a free-lance cameraman from 1992 -1996. Since 1996 Rene has lived and worked in Los Angeles, CA and is the C.E.O. of JuRiFilm, Inc., a motion picture and television post-production editing facility with several crews shooting commercials and extensive German-related news coverage on media events such as the Academy Awards (Oscars). Rene has shot over a dozen features, many documentaries, television shows and corporate videos. His most notable features have been “Albino Farm,” “The Legend of Tillamook’s Gold,” “The 13th Alley,” “Rail Kings” and “Red Border.”

Scott Rockenfield (Composer)

I was born in Seattle, WA on June 15th 1963 and I have lived in the Seattle area ever since. It was during the sixth grade that I attended a drum and percussion seminar and, from that day forward, my destiny became obvious. Soon after the seminar, I acquired my first snare drum and played it at every opportunity. Lessons didn’t interest me so I decided to follow what my heart told me and just played what I wanted to hear. However, I’m not saying that taking lessons is wrong, it just wasn’t something I felt comfortable with. I suppose I’ve always had a hard time being told what to do!

I continued playing that same snare drum until I turned 14. At that time, I received what was to become the most important Christmas gift that I would ever get… my first drum kit! From then on, I was obsessed with drumming and I would spend as much time as possible playing my drums and dreaming about making music.

After my graduation from high school in 1981, an urge overtook me and playing my drums in a rock band was all I could think about. That same year, with some friends and classmates, I helped to found “Queensryche.” With money saved from working part time jobs, we booked time in a studio and made our first record, a self-titled EP that we released on our own label, 206 Records. The response from the public was overwhelming and soon we had a bidding war between seven major labels! We decided to sign with EMI America and since then, have released seven full length recordings, including our cult classic “Operation: Mindcrime,” and our mega-hit “Empire.” The group has been honored with several gold and platinum albums, Grammy nominations, and many other awards throughout the years. A real high point was receiving the MTV Viewers Choice Award in 1991. After the demise of EMI America in the late 1990’s, Queensryche signed with Atlantic Records and released the album “Q2K,” in the fall of 1999.

I have always been a fan of progressive instrumental music and was intrigued with the work that local Seattle musician Paul Speer was doing with David Lanz. They had done some really great videos to accompany their albums and writing music for film and video had been a strong interest of mine for a long time. So when Tom Hall (a mutual friend and engineer on many Queensryche records) introduced us in 1993, we discovered lots of common ground and it turned out he was a big Queensryche fan as well.

Paul and I began exploring musical ideas and soon hooked up with director Mike Boydstun on the TeleVoid music video and album. I was finally able to flex my muscles as a soundtrack composer and we were rewarded with a Grammy nomination for TeleVoid in Long Form Music Video.

Our second project as Rockenfield/Speer is an impressionistic journey into the deepest canyon in North America, Hells Canyon of Idaho. Expanding our musical and creative boundaries is what the work I do with Paul is all about and I look forward to the journeys ahead.

In 1996, on the personal side of things, my life was blessed with the marriage to my best friend, Misty. And now, with three beautiful children, I have found a whole new form of inspiration. Love is a truly wonderful thing!!!

To those of you that have followed my career past and present, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is the greatest reward for me to know that others have been touched by the music I make and its inspiration……………. Peace…………. Srock.

Barry Curtis (Co-Producer)

Barry has served on the Assistant Director staff for such films as “Spider-Man 3″, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, JJ Abrams’ “Star Trek”, the Will Ferrell comedy adventure “Land of the Lost”, “Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen” and Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland”. He has also worked in production on such films as Robert Zemeckis’ “A Christmas Carol”, Chris Columbus’ “I Love You, Beth Cooper” and the motion-capture kid’s film “Mars Needs Moms!” In 2005, Barry received the “George Lucas Selects Award” for his short, “For Love of the Film”, at the 2005 Star Wars Fan Film Festival.

Jason Stewart (Producer)

In the early 90’s Jason made his way to Los Angeles to attend college on a basketball scholarship.  He enrolled in film school, graduated and went on to earn an MBA at Pepperdine University in Malibu.  Starting in 1997, he worked in the advertising industry and became one of the nation’s youngest and most successful commercial producers.  Stewart served as an executive producer for the Cimarron Group – which is Hollywood’s most prominent entertainment marketing agency and then headed production for Activision - one of the largest video game companies in the world.  During his tenure and along with companies like Saatchi & Saatchi and J. Walter Thompson, he produced over one thousand commercials for major brands.  As a producer and line producer on a half dozen feature films, including the recently released “Albino Farm,” he utilized his talent for maximizing resources on limited budgets.   In partnership with various independent production/finance companies, via his Bluestone production banner, Stewart is currently working to produce high-budget  “quality” films and pursues opportunities for features that can be translated from video games.

Rachelle Ryan (Producer)

Rachelle Ryan has worked in the executive realms of show business for decades. She began by owning and operating an exclusive SAG/AFTRA franchised talent agency for 14 years. That success subsequently formed Ryan Management. From here she worked with a select group of actors and writers whose achievements led Ryan to producing, along side client Joel David Moore (”Avatar”). As the movie “Spiral” was Moore’s pet project, Rachelle Ryan both co-produced and executive-produced the feature. Their collaboration benefitted on many levels: ‘Spiral’ was filmed in Oregon, the state where Ryan was born and her long-term business relationships in that region propelled the venture. Anchor Bay distributed theatrically, on DVD and the film can be seen in heavy rotation on Starz cable channel.

Her most recent project, “Albino Farm,” allowed Ryan to pursue continued success with marketing, amidst a completed distribution deal and a similar feature film release.

Because Rachelle Ryan maintains the combining of unique marketing and management talents with gifted entrepreneurial skills, business ownership in the Los Angeles area comes naturally. She is the owner of Left Coast Art Gallery in Studio City, and Left Coast Wine Bar & Gallery in Glendale, California.

Sean McEwen (Writer/Producer/Director)

Sean is a graduate of Missouri State University majoring with B.F.A in performing arts. While attending M.S.U., he studied film and visual art under Dr. David Daly – a renowned film historian and published critic. Sean recently produced the short film “Talent: A Hollywood Gothic” which made its world premiere at the Los Angeles International Film Festival. His latest directing effort, “Happy’s Last Wish”, is the follow-up to the DEM Films presentation “For Love of the Film” – winner of the George Lucas Selects award (2005). “Happy’s Last Wish” has won multiple awards and participated in numerous North American festivals like the Kids First Film Festival (world’s largest festival for children) and continues to show in venues around the world. Sean has written, produced, directed and acted for both the stage and screen including the Sci-Fi Channel Series “The Chronicle”, VH-1’s animated series “Ill-Ustrated” and the feature film “Lay it Down”.

Joe Anderson (Writer/Producer/Director)

Joe is the president/owner of Anxiety Island Entertainment, Inc., a managing partner with producer Rachelle Ryan in Equimedia Group LLC (”Albino Farm”) and a principal in a private investment and real estate holdings company, Howdy Partners LP, based in Seattle.

He has been involved in motion picture development and finance for many years and shared various producer roles on seven feature films including “Happy Hour” (Anthony LaPaglia, Eric Stoltz, Caroleen Feeney, Robert Vaughn), “American Reunion” (Jennifer Rubin, Corey Glover, Billy Wirth), and “Nowheresville” (Kim Tyler, Henry Lubatti). His prior work was as a consulting partner in the finance entity, O/K Ventures LLC, for Hollywood-based producers Kim O’Hara and Eric Klein, and created funding arrangements for several independent features including Catherine Jelski’s “The Young Unknowns” (Devon Gummersall, Arly Jover, Leslie Bibb, Eion Bailey). He has also worked with past projects in development such as “The Sleep Police,” “Free Again,” “Dirty Laundry,” and is currently developing “Following Seas,” “Bobby Seeks Solace” and “Hall Monster.” Joe is a member of the Producers Guild of America, Film Independent and several other industry-related organizations. He resides in Santa Monica and Woodinville, Washington (depending on the vagaries of the business). Joe’s most recent film was “Albino Farm” which he co-wrote, co-directed and produced. His anxious little production company has several projects in the works with one planning to shoot overseas – as in a tropical location – with tiny umbrellas in the drinks! Bula!
